Fear and courage: Advice from Eleanor Roosevelt

I have long admired Eleanor Roosevelt.

Dubbed “First Lady of the World,” by President Harry S. Truman, Roosevelt was also a tireless advocate for human rights. Not only did she serve as a delegate to the United Nations General Assembly, she was also instrumental in the drafting of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and she served as the first chairperson of the U.N.’s Human Rights Commission.
