About Me
Welcome to my site!
You’ve probably guessed that I love to write, read, and travel. I’m always working on a book, reading a book, gardening, or planning my next trip with my husband.
My two kids are mostly grown. One is just about done with college, and the other graduated from college a year ago. I know, I must have been very young when I had my children. And I have a rescue Yorkie whose quirky behaviors add to her charm.
If you looked at my LinkedIn profile, you’d see my career highlights: lawyer, award-winning journalist, public relations flak, and a professor.
Enough about me. I’d love to know more about you. Please feel free to introduce yourself below. We can also connect on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day.
Hello Geri, wonderful meeting you. Wishing you all
the best of luck at all you do! Eddie

Writer and former Professor here. Love the Hemingway post, as I am an Americanist.

Hi Jeff. It is wonderful to meet you. I see you got your PhD from the University of Illinois. Did you have any classes with Walt Harrington? I’ve heard him speak in the past. I think it was at the Nieman Narrative Writing Conference in Boston several years ago. I’m looking forward to reading your work!

My main teachers were Nina Baym, longtime editor of The Norton Anthology of American Literature, and Dennis Barron, who still writes for the NYT. But I’m really just a farm boy from Alabama.
