Winter survival: An open mind and a zipped coat

img_20190127_094258-01There’s beauty in every season, even winter. All it takes is an open mind, and a zipped coat, to discover it.

This morning, my husband and I braved the freezing temperatures to keep our six-mile Sunday walking date. We craved fresh air and nature. Plus, we knew we’d jog a bit more to keep a step ahead of the cold.

The day was gray and the air crisp, but the ducks and geese didn’t seem to mind. We even passed a few other walkers, runners and bicyclists during our jaunt through Forest Park. Here are a few images from our outing, as well as a a couple of fitting quotes.
